Description: Annie and David offer hints and tips for obtaining and maintaining administrative approval for a collection of circulating video games. The University of Oregon began circulating current-gen video game hardware and software to students, faculty, and staff in the Fall of 2007. One academic year later we're ready to share our experience to benefit librarians and library staff who want to broach the subject of expanding library holdings in this direction, but aren't quite sure how to start (and/or sustain) the conversation.
Intended Audiences:

(Specifically, our talk will be aimed at librarians interested in the circulation of game hardware and software at their library. We will present from the perspective of a university-affiliated academic institution; however, much of the information should be useful to a broader audience of librarians.)
