Description: As someone who started a video game collection at the library, I have much information to share on where to get started and how to impress your patrons with a new and exciting collection. I have done the research on what games are essential, who the best vendors are, and how to get your library on board. I had many questions when I began building a circulating gaming collection, and I would love to share this information with other libraries. I want librarians and administrators to know it isn’t that hard, and that video games are a valuable circulating collection.

Intended audiences:

  • Administrators and others who hold the purse strings and approve policies
  • Pretty much any librarian

at

  • All types of libraries
