Presenter: Jean Gardner (Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library)
Description: This session will take the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library’s teen activity room from conception through the renovation, transformation, and utilization.
The activity room (53’ X 31’) is in addition to an existing teen space (67’ X 31’) and is located away from the mainstream library area. It has: a video gaming area; desktop and laptop computers; snack area with vending machines; stage for live performances; booths for chatting and listening to music; large screen monitors/televisions and more.

- Administrators and others who hold the purse strings and approve policies
- Instructional librarians
- Pretty much any librarian
- Technology librarians
- Youth librarians
