Presenter: BWS Johnson
Description: Duhrectors - everyone's favourite villain. If one Googles Libraries and Gaming, one gets a little shy of half million hits. However, if one inputs ""Gaming and Library Administration" Google treats this like a mistake. If the two show up together, it's fair odds that it's simply a standard sales pitch to a reluctant Duhrector. What if we could reform our villain? What if we could convince our not so brave Captains that real world winning strategies and team building could be gleaned from World of Warcraft and other MMORPGS? Think of the Strategic Plans!
Intended Audiences:
- Administrators and others who hold the purse strings and approve policies
- Pretty much any librarian
at
- Public libraries
Conan The Librarian is a staunch defender of intellectual freedom, unlike the types that Will Manley pokes fun at, and is the ringleader of The Librarian. He's known for a tenuous association with Thurilla though funnily enough, they've never been seen at the same time...
'sigh' In real life,
BWS Johnson (mhelman at illinoisalumni.org) is the former Duhrector of a tiny but interesting Library in Western Massachusetts. Rumour has it that she forged a convincing Master's Diploma from
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Johnson lives with the other Johnson, Tom, and her criminal mastermind, er, cat Socks in the Washington Metro Area.
